Yellow Medicine East Little Stingers School Readiness Program is now enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year. We are excited to offer options for your child’s preschool programming and we look forward to welcoming your child to our Bert Raney Elementary family! Our programs offer a variety of fun and meaningful hands-on learning experiences using music, creative expression, movement, literacy, writing, math, science and large and fine motor skills. There will be developmentally appropriate large group, small group, and individual activities designed to develop social-emotional, physical, cognitive, language, and self-help skills in each child. In addition, our Bumblebee program also offers Spanish and Dakota culture and language, physical education, music and art as part of your child’s weekly programming. 

We are located in Bert Raney Elementary School, which will provide a smooth transition for your child into our kindergarten classrooms. In addition, our Bert Raney Elementary School staff, including our office staff, nurse and on-site school district specialists, are available to provide resources and support to enhance your child’s learning and development.  For children who participate in our programs, transportation is available to all students in the morning and afternoon on the regular bus routes with Bennett & Bennett transportation. 

Our program is a 4-star rated Parent Aware Program and we receive money to help families with the cost of school readiness. Scholarships are available to qualifying families to assist with partial tuition assistance. No one will be denied participation due to the inability to pay.

How do I register my child for preschool? 

To secure your spot, please submit the following items:

Registration Form, Program Choice Form, Application for Educational Benefits or Waiver, with your $25* non-refundable deposit (will be applied to your first month’s tuition) to:

*If the $25 non-refundable deposit causes a financial hardship, please enclose a note with your registration form and the fee can be waived. 

Bumblebees

Ages: 4 – 5 by September 1, 2023

Schedule: Full Days | 8:00AM – 3:00PM

Monday – Friday | Approximately 171 Days/Year – Following the YME School Calendar

Price: $440/Month

Monthly payment amount is based on the annual tuition, divided equally over nine months, not based on days offered each month. A snack is included in monthly tuition.

Honey Bees

Ages: 3 – 4 by September 1, 2023

Schedule: Full Days | 8:00AM – 3:00PM

Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays | Appoximately 100 Days/Year – Following the YME School Calendar

 Price: $260/Month

Monthly payment amount is based on the annual tuition, divided equally over nine months, not based on days offered each month. A snack is included in monthly tuition.

Busy Bees

Ages: 3 – 4 by September 1, 2023

Schedule: Full Days | 8:00AM – 3:00PM

Tuesdays & Thursdays | Approximately 71 Days/Year – Following the YME School Calendar

Price: $195/Month

Monthly payment amount is based on the annual tuition, divided equally over nine months, not based on days offered each month. A snack is included in monthly tuition.
